This is an online portal with information on donations that were announced publicly (or have been shared with permission) that were of interest to Vipul Naik. The git repository with the code for this portal, as well as all the underlying data, is available on GitHub. All payment amounts are in current United States dollars (USD). The repository of donations is being seeded with an initial collation by Issa Rice as well as continued contributions from him (see his commits and the contract work page listing all financially compensated contributions to the site) but all responsibility for errors and inaccuracies belongs to Vipul Naik. Current data is preliminary and has not been completely vetted and normalized; if sharing a link to this site or any page on this site, please include the caveat that the data is preliminary (if you want to share without including caveats, please check with Vipul Naik). We expect to have completed the first round of development by the end of July 2025. See the about page for more details. Also of interest: pageview data on analytics.vipulnaik.com, tutorial in README, request for feedback to EA Forum.

GiveWell Maximum Impact Fund | -- | -- | Global health and cash transfers | https://blog.givewell.org/2017/12/11/staff-members-personal-donations-for-giving-season-2017/#Natalie | -- | Crispin notes: "I continue to believe that GiveWell Maximum Impact Fund are the best option for impact-focused giving for individuals and I plan to give my annual gift this year to GiveWell for granting at its discretion to top charities. I am grateful for all the work, thoughtfulness, and hours of debate that my colleagues put into the recommendations, and I believe that the recommendations are as strong as they’ve ever been. I am excited to support the most effective charities I know of.".

Against Malaria Foundation | -- | -- | Global health/malaria | https://blog.givewell.org/2015/12/09/staff-members-personal-donations-for-giving-season-2015/ | -- | Crispin notes: "I plan to follow GiveWell’s recommendation to give 100% to AMF. I am excited to support a recommendation that is the result of a bunch of thoughtful people putting their heads together to answer the question of where an individual donor can do the most good." She also talks about the other GiveWell Maximum Impact Fund and why she decided against donating to GiveWell itself. Percentage of total donor spend in the corresponding batch of donations: 100.00%.
GiveWell Maximum Impact Fund | -- | -- | Global health and cash transfers | https://blog.givewell.org/2014/12/17/staff-members-personal-donations-giving-season-2014/ | -- | Crispin notes: "I plan to follow GiveWell’s recommended allocation this year by giving a gift to GiveWell for regranting to top charities at its discretion. Allocating funding between charities involves complicated trade-offs on many different dimensions: program cost-effectiveness, confidence in the organization’s ability to carry out the program, confidence in the organization’s ability to spend funds in the near term, judgements about the upside and risks of helping an organization scale up, etc.". Percentage of total donor spend in the corresponding batch of donations: 100.00%.
GiveDirectly | -- | -- | Cash transfers | https://blog.givewell.org/2013/12/12/staff-members-personal-donations/ | -- | Crispin notes that she considered splitting between GiveDirectly and the Schistosomiasis Control Initiative (SCI) but decided against it because of her greater considence in GiveDirectly. She also says she decided against Deworm the World Initiative for the same reasons as Holden Karnofsky. Percentage of total donor spend in the corresponding batch of donations: 100.00%. |
